What is the minimum credit score you need to get excepted for a mortgage loan?

I am trying to rebuild my credit from when I was young and stupid, My score was very poor,,,now its poor, and hopefully in the next year I can get it up higher

Minimum score for Capital One?? I'm helping my husband rebuild. He has no credit cards--what's the minimum score needed to qualify for the platinum? He's at about 568 EX.
Can I use a simon Gift card to buy PS3… I have a prepad Simon gift card that is excepted anywhere visa is so it should work to let me buy stiff at the Playstation store, but so far I cant get it excepted.
