Hey there! First time poster here…
My question is in regards to disputing credit claims. I recently disputed a collection account with Experian, and within no time at all they had marked the dispute “Outcome: Remains”. This leads me to believe that they did no real verification of the claim at all.
Is there a specific way I should be going about this to ensure that Experian will do a real verification on the account? It’s my understanding that asking for proof is your right as a consumer. From what I’ve heard from others, the process should go: File a dispute, Experian temporarily removes credit account from your credit report, Real verification leads to proof/disproof, and a final decision is made.
Thanks so much for any help!!
