I am starting to rebuild my credit and have been reading everything I can on this forum. I do have one account that I am not sure how to handle and am hoping for some of your excellent advice.
I have a Chase CO. It is reported as a CO, last activity was in 2014 (SOL is 6 years here), Chase is reporting this as an Open account and it shows on my summary as a past due account. They have turned it over to MRS Associates, who want to settle this with me. The balance stated on my cr is $ 1,549.
I am not sure what the best plan is for a delete of this account on my cr. I know that is wishful thinking, but ideally, that is what I am looking for.
Any advice?
