only husband’s name on house, what should we do?

My husband and I are currently going through the loan process to get a house. This is our 3rd time after being denied twice on other houses. I decided since I am not working and b/c of my student loan debt that maybe I am hindering our loan process. So my husband is the only one going to be on the loan. I now am thinking, what happens if he dies and I am all alone. Is there some paperwork to fill out before we finish the loan process to make sure that I would get the house if he dies…like a survirorship deed or something. I have no idea how any of this works and when to do it.
