landlord didnt have insurance?
i am a carer for my father in law who accidently light the gas stove to light a cigarette and set fire to a bottle steriliser and set the kitchen on fire which caught the back sitting room and part of the hallway.
my partner and 4 children were in the house thank god everyone got out ok .
now the landlord who lives with us as a house share didnt have insurance is this against the law.
i am having to do the work myself to save money am i doing the right thing.
i have also up to now spent around £600 pound and still have receipts and it getting annoying never ending work .
any help would be gratefull

who is it that needs renters insurance the landlord or the tennant as none of us had it
