is this a fair deal?
i was able to take of 5 grand from $ 260k deal..plus the seller is paying the transfer tax which is about 3 grand and his own closing cost. this is a coop apt. in brooklyn ny. but i have to pay my own closing cost.
1. what is a transfer tax? any1 heard of it? is this suppose to be pay by the buyer or seller?
2. i heard that seller that pay buyer closing cost is able to get tax deduction? so should i try to get them to pay for my closing cost which i think is gonna run me in the 3 grand range?
3. do u think my deal is good? what is the biggest $ $ $ $ u ever able to get of the asking price?
