How do we get or mortgage to accept our explanation for our earnest money?

We’re closing on a home in chicago, IL. We submitted a letter of explanation because I had 900 in cash that I used. I withdrew the money about a month and a half before submitting our earnest money. I withdrew it because I was told I need a new motor. Luckily, it wasn’t that and I didn’t use the money. We started looking for the house shortly after and we were told any large deposit would be suspicious so we kept the money and didn’t deposit. I explained in the letter that I withdrew it for a car repair but since I didn’t use it, I kept it. They responded today and said that I withdrew it a month and a half before and that they can’t use it as an explanation for our earnest money. That we need to show the source of the money before closing.

What can we do to make them believe us? We’re telling the truth and we have 2 days before closing.
We submitted our bank statements and I highlited the withdrawal but even then it is not accepted because it is 1.5 before the earnest money date.

We bought a money order because we both had seperate bank accounts. A portion of or earnest money $ 900 was from a withdrawal that I made from my account a 1.5 before.
We have the money to close. We just can’t get them to credit that amount as justified earnest money. If we can give them that money again and we don’t have a problem. But how can they not accept our justification is it’s the truth!
