Homeowners insurance gave me a check but didn’t have all the work completed. Do I need to pay it back?

An adjuster gave me an estimate over the phone after the damage and mailed out a check immediately, saying something to the effect that I would know best what to use it on.

Our damage that we had repaired came to about $ 8000 and our policy only ended up covering $ 1300. I’ve cashed the $ 1300 check to pay the contractor, but didn’t end up needing some of the work done that the adjuster thought I would need (damage from rain). Online it says that claim is “closed.” Will they ask for receipts?
