We are looking for a nice place to buy a house but need to commute to London?

I work in Ealing and my wife at Great Portland St. We want to be travelling no more than about 45 mins. Where can we look at? Wewant to be outside the M25 and looked at maidenhead and reading but didn’t like them.
These are good suggestions but they all take too long to get into Ealing……any more ideas?
