Hello Everyone!* Thanks in advance for your advice, I really appreciate it.* I recently submitted a dispute to the credit bureau for a HSBC credit card account that was being reported as a charge-off.* Today I received a letter in the mail from HSBC telling me that, in order to process my dispute, they need all kinds of information — account numer, my SS number, a copy of the page from my credit report in which this account is showing and a couple of other things.* Is it my responsibility to do all this leg work for them??* I thought the purpose of the disupute was to have THEM verify the account information, not me.*Since they are the ones who reported this account,*I would think that they have all this information.* *Any advice would be appreciated.
