      Hi, a few days ago I went online and opted out for receiving credit offers etc.* I did the 5 year opt out.* My question is will this prevent anyone from doing a soft inquiry on me?* I don’t really want to stop all soft inquiries, just wanted to keep people from doing it unannounced.* I’ve read on here that it’s a good idea to opt-out.* Plus I thought by doing this it would give me 5 years to work on my FICO scores before I receive any more offers.* Thoughts?
