Can a wall mounted A.C unit be installed in a wall venting into a garage? I heard that their might be some residential codes that do not allow that. Also if the cause from the fire was said to be a over loaded circuit supplying power to a A.C unit, would being istalled in a garage cause the A.C to over heat and cause the circuit to over load and start a fire. Also does a instalation like this need to be inspected by residential code enforcement, if this property was a rental? I am wondering this because I can make a claim against my landlords liabilty insurance, if he is proven to be neglegent on his behalf on installing this a.c unit without a permit. I do not know anything about any of this so any insight would be great, thank you for your time, and have a great holiday season.
