I noticed on the Diners Club website that they have  a Professional card (at least that’s what I think it is, if I am hopefully remembering right?), that also has no AF.  Does anyone know what is the eligility to apply for their AF-free card?  i.e., do you have to own a business, or can personal/non-business card users apply as well?

Do you cancel the credit card after you get your travel award and before they charge you the anual fee?

I do not agree with your second choice or third choice, especially for the international traveler. The foreign transaction fee is an absolute joke and I would not own a card that has a foreign transaction fee on principle alone. I'm not a big fan of Southwest Airlines and have not had good experiences dealing with them in the past based on personal experience. Thirty minute conversation regarding information that could have been presented in eight minutes. Big fan of Lufthansa business class.
