My husband and I would like to own a home in ca, husband makes 50,000 a year, I am not working. We have about 40 some thousand in savings and a checking account. I have nothing on my credit files, husband has over 750,under 800 credit score. We don’t have credit cards, and no debt, what are our chances of becoming 1st time homeowners in orange county, or lawndale ca? If chances are good, then where do we start? We don’t want to pay more than 1500.00 a month for a mortgage. Is this possible. We live in a 2 bedroom apt right now and have 7 people. It is to crowded, and our landlord wants us to either downsize our family or find another place to accomidate our family. Running out of time. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
