VERY new to this, never grew up in a home that we owned, so never had to learn anything about mortages or hidden costs of being a home owner … we know renting.

Anyway, we will have roughly $ 10,000 to put down, and were looking at something around $ 600 per month (not including the utilities that we pay now) just instead of paying $ 600 month for rent, pay $ 600 month for loan.

Whats a basic, or rough estimate of homes we should be looking into … Im guessing around $ 100,000 but that may not be close, can someone at least point me in a direction?

Thanks for any help or advice
